    Description

Frank Brunner Howard the Duck #1 Splash Page 1 Preliminary Original Art (Marvel, 1976). The first page of Howard's own solo comic book! How does he celebrate? By contemplating suicide. This wasn't your normal Marvel comic book. Howard was truly "trapped in a world he never made". The story title was "Howard the Barbarian", and as was common for many of the early issues, it was a send-up of another Marvel comic character. The page was created in pure graphite on onionskin paper with an image area of 10" x 12.75". Frank Brunner has printed his own name in the hand-written credits in the top. The toned page is affixed to a pale yellow 11.5" x 17.5" board. Bid now or you will be saying "Waaaugh!"
