Cette page historique est issue de la première aventure, Le Prince Noir. Cette page digne d'une scène de cinéma, pleine de mouvement, nous fait découvrir le chevalier Ardent dans sa prime jeunesse. Encre de Chine sur papier Bristol avec une superficie d'image de 38 x 48 cm. This very first story appeared in the pages of Tintin's journal #921 in 1966, republished in 1970 by Casterman editions. François Craenhals is known for the comic series Pom & Teddy from 1953, Chevalier Ardent (1966 to 2003) and Les 4 As. Chevalier Ardent (The Brave Knight) tells us about the adventures of a young knight during the time of King Arthur, and was inspired by Prince Valiant, Craenhals being a huge fan of Hal Foster. This rare historical page is from the first adventure, The Black Prince. This page worthy of a movie scene, full of movement, makes us discover the Ardent knight in his early youth. Ink on Bristol paper with an image area of ?14" x 19". Folded in the middle at the time of production so it could be filed -- many publishing houses folded these large plates at the time. Signed. In excellent condition.
