Description

Francisco V. Coching "Bulalakaw" Story Page 1 Original Art (c. 1940s). Francisco V. Coching was known as "The Dean of Filipino Komiks Illustrators", and he was also the son of a pioneer in creating the Filipino comic book market in the first place, Mr. Gregorio C. Coching. The younger Coching made his mark in a long run on Pilipino Komiks. This story staring Bulalakaw may well have been published there. The page was created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10.75" x 14.25". Signed by Francisco V. Coching in Panel 1. The board is toned, with many rips and chips along the edges and corners. There is a large section missing from the top right that gets into the image area, and a 2.75" rip on the left side that does as well. There are also a couple of text corrections that appear to be missing. In Good condition.
