Description

Ernie Colon (attributed) Super Richie #19 Complete 5-Page Story "Acro-Batty" Original Art (Harvey Comics, c. 1978-79). This slapstick superhero parody is marked as having been prepared for SuperRichie #19; that publication, however, had ended with issue #18. That top-margin notation is retouched over an earlier line reading Richie Rich Success Stories, with the issue number blurred or obscured. This is likely an unpublished adventure of Richie and his butler as "Rippy and Crashman." (The only formally documented use of the title "Acro-Batty" occurs on a Harvey Comics Little Lotta story of 1969.) Created twice-up scale in ink over graphite and blue pencil on Bristol board with an image area of 12" x 18". Scuffed upper border on title page. The logotypes are stat paste-ups. Very Good condition.
