Description

Enrique Badia Romero Axa #1 Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 7-3-78 (The Sun, 1978). The first ever daily strip in this long-running sci-fi series! It was an instant hit with fans, owing as much to the writing of Donne Avenell and the art of Enrique Badia Romero, as to Axa's propensity to pop out of her clothes at almost any given moment. This opening episode form the story arc "The Beginning" was rendered in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 19" x 5.25". Text is hand-lettered paste-up. The board is very toned, and signed by Romero in the top right of Panel 1. In Very Good condition.
