Description
E. C. Segar Thimble Theatre starring Popeye Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 12-24-36 (King Features Syndicate, 1936). This is still a fairly early appearance by the Sea Hag, who Segar had introduced in 1929. It's a strip that may be myoo-sik to yer ears... even if Olive Oyl and Popeye don't think so! Rendered in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 20.5" x 4.5". Light toning with handling and edge wear. In Very Good condition.
