Dave Stevens and Dave Dorman original cover painting for Rocketeer Adventure Magazine #2. (Comico/Dark Horse, 1988) Accomplished in mixed media on 12.5 x 18 in. art board. Presented in an attractive red and black mat. Art by the late Dave Stevens is very highly sought after, and of course, the "Rocketeer" is his signature character. This large and beautiful painting is achingly detailed and represents an opportunity to acquire a major work by this legend at a very reasonable opening bid. The Rocketeer is seen here in peril, in the hands of an unknown creature, over the dark and foreboding skies of New York City with a bi-plane and lightning bolts in the background.
