Description

Dave Gibbons Watchmen #2 Story Page 19 Original Art (DC, 1986). This is the funeral of the Comedian. A solemn page with hidden guest-stars... The Comedian himself (in the casket), Nite Owl II (in panel one with the iconic "Smiley Face" button that is synonymous with this series), Dr. Manhattan, Ozymandias, the retired villain Moloch, and even Rorschach (if you know where to look). We probably don't have to mention how Alan Moore's Watchmen helped revitalize the comic industry in the 1980s, but we will. Produced in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15.75". Signed by Dave Gibbons on the right margin. There is toning and evidence of a previous framing. Very Good condition. Own a piece of comics history!
