Dave Cockrum and Sam Grainger Uncanny X-Men #98 Page 3 Original Art (Marvel, 1976). Jack Kirby and Stan Lee (creators of the original X-Men) have cameo appearances on this page! This issue, the new X-Men get to flex their mutant muscles against the dreaded Sentinels for the first time (reprints aside, the robots hadn't been seen in this series since #59). Add in that hot kiss between Scott Summers and Jean Grey (and her backless gown) and you have one fantastic page to make any fan-boy tremble! It's even signed by artist Dave Cockrum himself in the lower margin. Stan Lee's head appears to be drawn by Marie Severin in the first two panels. It is very similar to her work on his portrait that appeared in house ads for Marvel's Pizzazz magazine of the era. Produced in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". Slight tanning with production tape in the margins, and minor handling. There is some water damage on the backside that is not obtrusive when seen from the front. In Good condition.
