    Description

Darwyn Cooke Batman/The Spirit #1 Cover Original Art (DC, 2007). It's a face-off for these two characters that have both been around since the Golden Age of comics. The grim and determined Batman may have meet his metaphorical opposite in the wry, comic crime-fighting styles of Will Eisner's Spirit! Darwyn Cooke's interpretation of both characters is wonderfully on-point. In fact, he won the 2007 Joe Shuster Award for "Outstanding Artist of the Year" on this issue, and the issue itself won the 2007 Eisner Award for "Best Single Issue of the Year". Rendered in ink over graphite and blue pencil on Bristol board with an image area of 11" x 15". In Excellent condition.
