Daniel Clowes Like a Velvet Glove Cast in Iron Japanese Release Wraparound Cover Original Art (Presspop Inc., 2005). Huge artwork for the Japanese publication of one of Clowes' most critically acclaimed graphic novels, and the one that established his reputation as one of the foremost American cartoonists. Major pieces by Clowes such as this typically never come on the open market, and this may be the most impressive one we have ever offered. It features beautiful, razor sharp inking featuring all the main characters from the book. One would be hard pressed to find a better stand-alone example of this artist's work. Created in ink over graphite on heavy Bristol board with an image area of 24.5" x 16.5". There is a vellum overlay with ink shading. In Excellent condition.
