    Description

Dan Barry Flash Gordon Sunday Comic Strip Original Art dated 12-10-72 (King Features Syndicate, 1972). A skiing excursion is the setting for danger as Flash, Dale, and Anton are about to encounter a laser cannon on the slopes -- triggering an avalanche. A classic-manner cliffhanger finale leaves the outcome in question until the next episode. Barry's high-contrast expanses of snow convey a chill to match the situation. Ink over graphite on Bristol board, with an image area of 21.5" x 9.5". Autographed at lower right. Marginal notes and light toning. In otherwise Excellent condition.
