Curt Swan and Tex Blaisdell Hostess Twinkies Ad Complete 1-Page Story "Superman Meets the Orbitrons!" Original Art (DC, 1979). As goofball as they were, the Hostess Twinkies ads are well-remembered by fans. It was a genius marketing gimmick, as DC used their regular artists to ensure these looked at first glance like just another page of comic book story. This episode featured Curt Swan Superman art (inked by Blaisdell) and ran in DC books during June and July of 1979. It was created on DC Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". There are some stat paste-ups in Panels 5 and 7 (one is missing) which have some glue residue near them. There is also residue in the lower left and top margins. Overall the page is in Very Good condition. From the Tex Blaisdell Archives.

More Information: EDIT: Date corrected from 1974 to 1979.
