    Description

Curt Swan and Murphy Anderson Superman #258 Story Page 13 Original Art (DC Comics, 1972). Editor Julius Schwartz's radical reinvention of the Superman mythology had lessened somewhat by 1972, but the masterstroke of pairing penciller Curt Swan with seamless inker Murphy Anderson persisted. A standout from this period finds Superman's Fortress of Solitude invaded by the Galactic Golem -- a self-defeating ploy, given Superman's territorial fervor. Ink and white-paint retouching over graphite on Bristol board. Image area of 10" x 15". Lightly toned; discolored tape at margins. In Excellent condition.
    From the Murphy Anderson Collection.
