    Description

Curt Swan and George Klein Action Comics #304 Page 4 Original Art (DC, 1963). This lead story for the issue appears to have been originally titled "The Day Superman was Defeated", as that is penciled in on the bottom margin. In fact this story "The Interplanetary Olympics" is a retooling of the lead story (of the same name) from issue #220 nearly a decade before. But who cares when you have a page of that great Curt Swan art like this one! Superman and Lana Lang are featured well, along with some strongmen from the stars. Silver Age Swan Superman pages are hard to come by. Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 13" x 18". Slight tanning. In Excellent condition. There are three other pages from this story in this same auction!
