Will Eisner The Spirit #2 Cover Original Art (Harvey, 1967). The first revival of The Spirit after it ceased syndication in 1952 was Harvey Comics' short-lived 1966 series -- only two issues were published, both featuring brand new cover art by creator and all-time comic great Will Eisner. This is the cover to #2, which is an absolutely outstanding vintage image featuring the Spirit, a sexy Ellen, a fully hand-drawn architectural logo, nasty villains, and Eisner's bold trademark signature. Just a great composition on a classic Spirit cover that has never been offered on the open market. This fantastic cover illustration has an overall size of 9" x 14". The word balloons are paste-ons, and the piece has been trimmed closely to it's left border; otherwise, the art is in Excellent condition. A copy of the comic book is included with this lot.
