Warren Kremer - Original Cover Art for Richie Rich and Dollar the Dog #1 (Harvey, 1977). Nobody 'digs' treasure like Richie Rich's canine companion, Dollar the Dog. From the Bronze Age, comes this opulently rendered cover featuring Richie Rich and his puppy pal digging for buried treasure. Stalwart Warren Kremer, who was responsible for much of the look of Harvey Comics from the 1950s onward, is the master hand behind this chic cover from 1977. This splendid treasure is 6.5" x 10.5" on a 8.5" x 12" piece of bristol board. Very clean and bright art, with only some minimal aging around the type and indicia at the top. This art also comes with a paper overlay indicating crop and spine type and a hand-painted color treatment. A pearl of a piece!
