DescriptionWarren Kremer (attributed) - Original Cover Art for Little Dot #6 (Harvey, 1953). Harvey mainstay Richie Rich makes his debut cover appearance with this issue of Little Dot. Here, he's alongside Little Lotta, both taking equal billing with Little Dot Polka, in this fabulous cover by Warren Kremer. Richie Rich was introduced as a backup feature in Little Dot #1 (September, 1953) in a story titled, "The Dancing Lessons." It would take until November 1957 and the publication of Harvey Hits #3 for an entire issue to be devoted to the Poor Little Rich Boy, but by then his success was ensured. Since that time, Richie has appeared in over 50 titles bearing his name, for a total of well over 2,000 individual issues, making him the one of the most successful characters in comics history. This fine work is an excellent example of the simple, yet powerful, imagery that has made Harvey Comics so memorable. The art measures approximately 9" x 14" overall, with a 7" x 10.5" image area. There is some slight aging apparent, mostly outside of the inked area, and some minimal white-out usage, but otherwise this work is in excellent condition. The logo and indicia at the top are recent photocopy replacements.
