Description
Walt Simonson and Joe Sinnott Thor #269 Cover Original Art (Marvel, 1978). The Stilt-Man... one of Marvel's most popular 3rd-Tier villains, makes a rare cover appearance on Thor. He is normally more of a Spider-Man/Daredevil villain, and in fact, his stilts have even been seen in Melvin Potter's garage on several occasions in the Netflix Daredevil series. Walt Simonson would go on to make quite a name for himself on Thor starting with issue #337. This cover was crafted in ink over graphite on Sparta World Color Bristol board with an image area of 9.75" x 15". The logo, corner box, and all cover text are stat paste-ups. Thor's hammer on the cover is a printed paste-up also. There is some glue residue near these paste-ups, and some production oil stains in the bottom image area.
