Description
Vince Colletta Lovers #80 Cover Original Art (Marvel/Atlas, 1956). A stunning Atlas era cover! There's a reason that Jack Kirby once referred to Vince Colletta as his "second favorite inker", but Colletta's pencil work is where he really shines! This cover is gorgeous, as was most of his romance work from the 1950s. It was created twice-up scale in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 13.5" x 20". The page is toned, with a long horizontal crease across the middle of the image area, and repaired rips in places (a 4" rip in the bottom, and a 1" rip on the right side). After the fact, someone has glued a low-res reproduction logo and header dressing (and lower heart-shaped caption box) directly to the art board, putting this in Good condition.Lookup the Comic Book in our Guide
