Val Mayerik and Al Williamson The Punisher #61 Cover Original Art (Marvel, 1992). Mayerik and Williamson combine strong graphic narrative drive with the experience of comic-book veterans, making this cover an example of Marvel Copper Age craftsmanship. Frank Castle (undercover as Rook) teams up with Luke Cage in Crackdown; their differing moral codes and methods quickly bring their views into conflict. The cover is rendered in ink on Bristol board with an image area of 9.75" x 15". The title and indicia are paste-ups on an overlay sheet taped to the original along the top edge.
