Description
Todd McFarlane, Tony DeZuniga, and Dick Giordano Infinity, Inc. #31 Cover Original Art Group of 3 (DC, 1986). An early McFarlane cover with art assist by legendary artist Dick Giordano! One of McFarlane's first jobs with DC was to handle the art chores on Infinity, Inc., and after a year with the company, the Spawn creator produced this cover featuring the team of Jade, Obsidian, Fury, Silver Scarab, Nuklon, and Skyman with a special appearance by Jonni Thunder. Ink over graphite and blue pencil on DC cover stock Bristol board with an image area of 9.75" x 15". Slight toning, stat logo, header, text, and art correction (Jonni Thunder's head by Dick Giordano) paste-ups with residue staining from missing paste-ups. Notes, tape, and production tape marks in the margins, with whiteout corrections. Signed by the art team in the lower left image area. Included are two acetate overlays, one with original art of Thunderbolt by Dick Giordano, the other a production stat of the Thunderbolt image with whiteout for text and effects.
