DescriptionThe Lone Ranger's Companion Tonto #32 Cover Painting Original Art (Dell, 1958). Tonto protects a valuable medicine bundle from a renegade Indian in this superb painted cover. Dan Spaulding did many of the painted Tonto covers in the late 1950s; this piece could be by him or possibly Morris Gollub. The painting is in mixed media on board, matted with an opening size of 12" x 17" and includes a copy of the printed comic book matted alongside it. Framed with Plexiglas for an overall size of 29.5" x 25". There are a couple of stains along the lower portion of the painting (outside the printed area) that appear to be from tape; otherwise, the condition is Excellent.
