Description

Steve Rude Future Quest Presents #6 Splash Page 1 Birdman Original Art Group of 2 (DC, 2018). Mentok is the menace this issue as we meet "Son of Birdman". Fans of Steve Rude's Nexus work will simply love this page! Created in two parts, the first part had the pencil work (over blue pencil) and crisp clean-lined inked figures of Birdman and Mentok. The second piece was created on Coquille board with Conte crayon (over blue pencil) in a style Rude used often in earlier issues of Nexus. Combining the two images for the printed page results in a wonderful ghostly image above the two bitter rivals. For display purposes, photocopy versions of the inked figures were placed on the Coquille board page. Both board measure approximately 11" x 17" and are in Excellent condition. Signed by Rude on both boards.
