    Description

Sid Couchey and Joe Giella Little Dot Dotland #13 Cover Recreation Original Art (undated). A great recreation cover by Sid Couchey who is known for his work on Richie Rich, Little Lotta, and Little Dot. It's also worth mentioning colorist Joe Giella who, in 1948, inked stories for The Flash, Green Lantern, and Black Canary under editor Julius Schwartz. The piece is signed at the bottom by Sid Couchey and inscribed "In Memory of Warren Kremer"; creator of Harvey comics characters Richie Rich, Hot Stuff the Little Devil, and Stumbo the Giant. Crafted in mixed media over graphite on illustration paper with an image area of 15.75" x 19.75", matted to 22" x 26". The logo and box art are original art paste-ups. In Excellent condition.

I have done a preliminary analysis and the total of the hammer prices was $67,550. With BP, the final figure was $80,722.25. That is against the total insurance value of $34,785 or 2.32 x ‘pre-auction estimate’. Incredible, really, so a big thanks.
