Sheldon Moldoff - Moon Girl #6, Complete 9-page Story "The Day the World Trembled" Original Art (EC, 1949). Claire Lune, the marvelous Moon Girl, and the Prince battle the Venusian women-warriors of Erica in this 9-page battle royale. Sheldon Moldoff modeled Moon Girl's looks after actress Merle Oberon, and the veteran comic book artist succeeded in giving Moon Girl an exotic appeal. Shelly himself appears in the final panel of this story. The image area of each page measures 13" x 18". Some of the pasted-on lettering corrections have slipped off of the pages and the title logo stat has some glue stains; otherwise, the art is in Very Good condition.‡ The owner placed a late bid on this unreserved lot and repurchased it, subject to applicable commission.
