Description
Sergio Aragonés Groo #10 Front and Back Cover Original Art (Image, 1995). Things look a little on the wet side for Groo, Rufferto, and the ship's crew, in this underwater cover illustration by that lovable MADman, Sergio Aragonés. Rufferto returns for the back cover gag strip, where the brave canine hears the cries of a child in a burning building, and leaps into action. Both pieces are drawn in ink over graphite with blue pencil on Bristol board; the front cover has an image area of 9.75" x 15", and the back is 10" x 13", plus a lightly sketched-in masthead in blue pencil, extending the size to 15". Both sides were signed twice by Sergio; he's added a small self-portrait to the front, and remarqued an image of Rufferto in the bottom right corner of the back cover art.
