Description
Samuel Armstrong Goofy and the Tiger Hunt Cover Original Art (Whitman, 1954). This sumptuous painting by Samuel Armstrong was created for Whitman's Disney Tell-a-Tale book series and is based on the 1945 Walt Disney animated short "Tiger Trouble." Note the beautiful silhouette of leaves around in Goofy's name, the dynamic and hilarious pose for our favorite Goof, and the vibrant color palette! The work was created in gouache on illustration board with an image area of about 10.75" x 11.25". The logo is on a separate acetate overlay and has slight paint loss. Overall, the original cover art is in Very Good condition with light handling and edge wear from production.Lookup the Comic Book in our Guide
