DescriptionSam Glanzman - Original Cover Art for Fightin' Army #89 (Charlton, 1969). Nazi youth strike back in this cover from Fightin' Army #89, drawn by Sam Glanzman. In a style reminiscent of Kubert, Glanzman tackles this complicated scene with frantic lines, ranging from flowing to staccato. He dabs, blobs, and smears the ink onto this 12.5" x 19" image, in an almost arbitrary way, yet it all works together to create an unforgettable image. The overall art size is 14" x 20.5" and the art is well-kept, with the exception of some staining at the top half, from the original logo paste-up which shows some aging. There is also one small stain at the center of the bottom edge. The word balloons are photocopy replacements.
