Sal Buscema Daredevil #89 Cover Original Art (Marvel, 1972). Handling both pencils and inks, Buscema gives us triple the action on this cover as the Man Without Fear takes strikes from Purple Man and Electro. After Buscema drew the cover, Marvel wanted to make some changes to DD's leg, which was done on an overlay credited to John Romita Sr. Ink over graphite on cover stock Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". There is slight toning, and stat logo, header, and text paste-ups. The issue number is taped in place, there is extensive use of whiteout for corrections, the page has production-trimmed left side corners, marginal oil staining, production notes, light smudging, and handling wear. Includes an art correction paste-up on a separate acetate overlay (Daredevil's legs), loose from the cover and added to the acetate after the fact. In Very Good condition.
