DescriptionRoss Andru and Dick Giordano - The Best of DC #8 Superman Cover Original Art (DC, 1980). In a cover scene that would inspire even a supreme impersonator such as Frank Abagnale Jr. of "Catch Me if You Can," the Man of Steel finds himself encircled by "the other identities of Superman and Clark Kent." Close-up portraits of those identities appear on the back cover's design: policeman, Indian Chief, Genie, Super-X, hardhat, lawyer, doctor, scientist, salesman, even a panhandler; Superman can be appear to be anyone he desires! Seven of the portraits on the back cover are original art, and seven are the vintage stats. A subtitle blurb pasted-on at the top of the cover, and the artists' pasted-on signatures have slipped off the front cover design; otherwise the art is in Excellent condition. The conjoined image area of the both covers measures 20.5" x 14". Celebrate the success of Superman's super-secret identities with this way-out, wrap-around cover art!
