Description
Ron Wilson Mighty World of Marvel #215 Cover Conan Original Art (Marvel UK, 1976). Conan battles a giant scorpion (with a bit of Jack Kirby styling to it, ala Ron Wilson's pencils) on this thrilling all-new cover for Marvel UK's #1 reprint title. This issue reprinted the last third of Conan the Barbarian #52 from 1975. Ron Wilson's pencil work is confirmed by his initials in the sign-off box on the reverse side of the board; however, the inker's identity is unconfirmed. Created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10.25" x 13.75". All text is stat paste-up and there is glue residue near these. There is a considerable about of whiteout art correction that was done at the time of creation to move the scorpion's tail up higher in the image area. The toned board is in Very Good condition.
