DescriptionRon Wilson, Frank Giacoia and Mike Esposito - Original Cover Art for Frankenstein #13 (Marvel, 1974). Mary Shelley's immortal masterpiece was long in the public domain by the time Marvel cribbed the well-known name and launched this title as part of their horror comics line (only possible once the Comics Code relaxed its regulations in the mid-'70s). Apparently Frankie missed his flight to Transylvania, and is really angry with the pilot! Seriously, though, a very striking image, with the monster looming large and overpowering in the frame. There is one paste-up missing from the left side. Art board measures 10.5" x 15".
