Robert Maguire A Curious Courting Cover Original Art (Penguin Books, 1993). Laura Matthews' novel of betrayal and veiled identity inspired this passionate large-scale painting from veteran illustrator Maguire. The original shows depths of detail beyond what appears on the published book, including significant lower-edge elements that were cropped out for reproduction. Oils on heavyweight fibreboard.
