Description
Robert Crumb Your Hytone Comix "Tommy Toilet" Back Cover Original Art (Print Mint, 1971). Some handy words of advice from that hippy sage, Robert Crumb, graced the back cover to one of his most outrageous early seventies Undergrounds. This well-crafted piece reveals Crumb's mastery of Zipatone shading, a technique he picked up from his years designing cards at American Greetings. The top caption is missing from this piece, and was apparently done on a separate sheet; the image area for this ink and screen illustration is approximately 8" x 11.75". There is a small tape stain along the lower right edge of the image, plus a few other minor stains; the overall condition is Very Good. Remember kids, "change your underpants at least twice a week!"More information about Robert Crumb. See also: Crumb, Robert, Crumb, R., R. Crumb Artist. Lookup the Comic Book in our Guide
