DescriptionRobert Crumb Winds of Change V2#9 Cover Original Art (1981). When Robert Crumb was living in the rural town of Winters, California, he and his wife Aline were regular contributors to this Yolo County alternative, ecology-minded newspaper. "The stuff I do for Winds of Change is my good-boy socially conscious responsible side," Robert told CoEvolutionary Quarterly in 1982. With this wild cover, we see Crumb's outrageous predictions for "The Farmer of Tomorrow" as he envisions the then-far off world of 1995 (with "April Fool Edition" tipping off the reader above the paper's logo). The art is beautifully rendered in ink and hand-cut Zipatone shading sheets on Bristol board, with an approximate image area of 10" x 16". The "in 1995" blurb is pasted-on original art; there are several Sotheby's stickers on the reverse. Signed in the lower right corner. Minor edge wear; Excellent condition. From the Graham Nash Collection.
