    Description

Robert Crumb ID #2 Cover Original Art (Eros/Fantagraphics, 1991). Oh no! Look out! The ID takes over once again in this wild, gruesome scene, portrayed as only R. Crumb can. This three-issue series focused on Crumb's sexual whims and desires as he drew them in his personal sketchbooks. For those who may not know, the "id" is one-third of the psyche as described by Sigmund Freud, along with the ego and super-ego; the id is the mind's "set of uncoordinated instinctual trends." Whew! At any rate, this is one of Crumb's best later comic book covers; it's in ink and whiteout on Bristol board, with an approximate image area of 9.5" x 13.5". Signed in the lower right corner. Excellent condition. Go "beyond the pleasure principle" with this one, kids! From the Graham Nash Collection.
