DescriptionRobert Crumb Bijou Funnies #6 Cover Original Art (Kitchen Sink, 1971). The self-proclaimed "Chicago's Best Underground Comic Book" was also one of the most influential of the Undergrounds! The title was fertile ground for artists such as editor Jay Lynch, and artist Art Spiegelman, Gilbert Shelton, Skip Williamson, Jay Kinney, Kim Deitch, and Justin Green. This piece of early Crumb original art was part of the exhibit "Crumb, de l'Underground a la Genese" hosted by the Musée d'Art moderne de la ville de Paris in 2012. As such, it was also featured on page 120 of the hardback book released in conjunction with the exhibit. This page was created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 8.5" x 11.5". The Kitchen Sink Logo in the top left corner is a printed acetate image floated above the art, which is then matted and glass front framed to 16" x 19". In Excellent condition. From the Eric Sack Collection.
