DescriptionRobert Crumb Arcade #33 Cover Original Art (1963). Whimsical cover to one of Crumb's sketchbooks. Robert liked to sketch and draw comics in 7" x 9" composition books, which he numbered with covers to appear like a series of magazines, taking the title from one of the last of the home-made comic books done with his older brother, Charles. This cover was done on a sheet of acetate, and colored with prismacolor pencils on the reverse, similar to animation art. The cover was then taped to the front of the composition book, and there is tape residue on the front edges. The piece measures approximately 6.75" x 8.5", and is in Excellent condition. Signed on the back by Crumb.
