Rick Leonardi and Al Williamson New Mutants #78 Cover Original Art (Marvel, 1989). It's the New Mutants vs. Freedom Force led by Mystique! Al Williamson inked Rick Leonardi's pencils on this amazing page featuring the Norse goddess Hela in the background. The image area of 9.5" x 14.75" is on Marvel Bristol board. The trade dressing is a recent paste-up on an acetate overlay. But that's not all -- the page is a two-fer. On the backside are Rick Leonardi's rough design for what would become the left-hand (back cover) side of the wrap-around cover for Marvel Comics Presents #11 - see it at HA.com! It features Ant-Man and Man-Thing. The page has slight handling and corner wear with pinholes, and is in overall Very Good condition.Auction Info
