    Description

Rich Buckler and Ricardo Villagran The Mighty Crusaders #8 Cover Original Art and Color Guide (Archie Comics, 1984). Dynamic high-angle composition depicts Darkling, Black Hood, the Web, Dr. Malcolm Reed, and the Fly -- all in confrontation with some off-camera menace. A marginal note indicates the participation of Tony DeZuniga, but that fine artist's detailed inking style is not evident. Accompanying color-key reproduction contains tints and a layer of handwritten numerical codes by colorist Barry Grossman. Ink over graphite on Bristol board. Image area, 9.5" x 14.5". Lightly toned, with occasional adhesive residue. Very Good condition.
