Rich Buckler and Frank Giacoia - Original Cover Art for Daredevil #101 (Marvel, 1973). Anti-war protester and wannabe hippie David Angar has more problems than just his god-awful fringed vest on this cover from Daredevil #101. Although he submitted to the treatment that gave him reality-twisting screaming powers, the treatment tipped him right off the teeter-totter edge of sanity. Angar brings San Francisco to a stand-still, battling Daredevil and the Black Widow in this groovy cover from 1973. Rich Buckler throws down some hallucinogenic pencils, and Giacoia handles the inks with his usual finesse. The overall size is 11.5" x 17.5" with a 10" x 15" image area. The art shows some signs of aging, with staining around the word balloons and the type treatment at the bottom. There is a larger stain around a missing paste-up at the bottom right. Still a cool cover for any DD fan, man!
