Description

René Brantonne Infernal Menace Couverture (Editions Fleuve Noir, 1953). Après avoir travaillé aux USA (le logo ESSO dans son ovale est sa création), René Brantonne revient en France pour réaliser des bandes dessinées, des illustrations pour le cinéma, avant de devenir célèbre en dessinant la quasi intégralité des couvertures de la collection « Anticipation » des Editions Fleuve noir. L'œuvre (18 x 24 cm) créée en 1954 pour la couverture du roman Infernal Menace est un bijou de science-fiction fifties ! Une technique mixte en très bon état.
René Brantonne Infernal Menace Cover (Editions Fleuve Noir, 1953). After working in the USA (the ESSO logo inside an oval is his creation), René Brantonne returned to France to make comics, illustrations for the cinema, before becoming famous by drawing almost all the covers of the «Anticipation» collection from Editions Fleuve noir. This piece (18 x 24 cm), created in 1954 for the cover of the novel Infernal Menace, is a jewel of Fifties science fiction! In mixed media with an image area of 7" x 9.5". In Excellent condition.
