Phil Moy - Original Cover Art for Powerpuff Girls #3 (DC, 2000). The Powerpuff Girls are one of the most successful properties to enter the new millennium. Their "oh, so cute" appearance has made them a hit with every American youth. Buttercup, Blossom, and Bubbles are three tiny girls who right the wrongs of the world and still make it home for bedtime. This very clean cover exhibits Moy's perfect approach to the characters and has an exciting composition that contrasts nicely with the defeated look of the girls. The flat quality of the art coupled with the thick line work creates a surprisingly animated feel to the piece that appropriately emulates the television series. This artwork is in excellent condition and measures approximately 11.25" x 17". It is signed in the bottom margin by Phil Moy.
