Description
Peter Poplaski, Will Eisner, Milton Caniff, and others The Spirit #30 Wraparound Jam Cover Original Art (Kitchen Sink Press, 1981). There are 15 characters (and one vulture) on this jam-piece created by seven fantastic artists! Peter Poplaski provided the initial layout which was then used by himself as well as Will Eisner, Milt Caniff, John Pound, Denis Kitchen, Richard Corben, and Leslie Cabarga. This art was used for the wraparound cover for issue #30, and was also used as the cover for the Spirit Jam trade paperback released by KSP in 1998. Created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 21.5" x 14". Various sections of this image are stripped-in original art pieces from the different artists, blended with whiteout. It is dated 1981 in the lower right. The piece is matted with a print of the cover for the Jam issue. They are glass-front framed to 30.5" x 35.5".
