Description

Peter Ambush Scanner Frankenstein's Monster, Wolf Man, and Dracula Magazine Cover Illustration Original Art (The Star-Ledger, 1997). The power of Dracula compels you... to sit down, hush up, and enjoy the movie! Three of Universal's greatest ghouls settle in for a night at the pictures on this delightfully spooky cover, created for a New Jersey-area weekly TV guide. Bela Lugosi's Dracula glares over his popcorn (decorated with portraits of The Mummy), while Lon Chaney Jr.'s Wolf Man guards his soda from any full-moon interruptions, and Boris Karloff's Frankenstein's Monster calmly unwraps a candy bar. This playful horror mashup by Ambush lit up the Halloween 1997 edition of Scanner (published 10-26-1997), proving even monsters love a good double feature. Created in mixed media on black art paper with a matted image area of 17.25" x 15.5", glass-front framed to 13" x 21.5". Signed by Ambush in the lower left image area. Presents in Excellent condition. Comes with a copy of the published magazine.
