Description
Paul Ryan and Tom Palmer Avengers #309 Cover Original Art (Marvel, 1989). "Into the Negative Zone!" This cover is a possible homage to the John Byrne cover of Fantastic Four #251 (which had the same cover blurb). This one features Thor (Sigurd Jarlson), the Sub-Mariner, Captain America, She-Hulk, Sersi, and Gilgamesh the Forgotten One. Created in ink and Zipatone over graphite on Marvel Bristol board with an image area of 9.75" x 15". The logo, corner box, and cover blurb are all stat paste-ups. The Negative Zone circles were created in ink on an acetate overlay for a color-hold technique. Signed by the artists in the left side of the image area, and signed/dated by Paul Ryan again in the UPC box. Matted to 14" x 18". In Excellent condition.More information about Paul Ryan.
