DescriptionPaul Norris (attributed) Jungle Jim #7 Cover Painting Original Art (Dell, 1958). This great image features Jungle Jim Bradley and his trusty friend and companion, Kolu, as they trek through the Indian jungle. Originally created in 1934 by the legendary Alex Raymond as a topper strip for the Flash Gordon newspaper comic strip, Jungle Jim took on a life of his own outside of the Sunday funnies. He appeared in radio, films, television, comic books, and a Marx action figures playset. It was notable that this jungle-themed series was set in Asia, not Africa as most Tarzan-ish characters were. This great gouache painting is on 12.5" x 17" illustration board. Slight edge/corner wear, otherwise in Excellent condition.
