Norman Mingo MAD #164 Cover Painting Original Art (EC, 1974). This issue... MAD tears into the movie Paper Moon, as evidenced by this cover featuring Ryan O'Neal (as Moses Pray), and Alfred "Tater" O'Neuman (as Addie Loggins). It's a stunning cover, and obviously way too good for this cruddy magazine. In fact, when this painting was previously sold at Christie's auction, Norman Mingo's son was in the audience and told the purchaser "You got a good one. That was one of my Dad's favorites." Rendered in oil with a matted image area of 16" x 21". Glass front framed to 23" x 28.5". It is signed in the lower left. In Excellent condition. Comes with a copy of the magazine framed to 13.75" x 16.5".
