Norman Mingo A MAD Scramble Paperback Book Cover Original Art (Warner Books, 1977). This wonderful seventies MAD paperback cover features none other than Alfred E. Neuman, the perennial mascot of MAD magazine, serving up a visual feast of hilarity. Celebrated as "the pictorial godfather to Alfred E. Neuman", artist Norman Mingo showcases his unique ability to blend humor and artistry. Mingo's contributions to MAD are legendary, and his work is essential for any serious MAD art collection! Great cooking cover done in watercolor over graphite on a rigid Bainbridge board, the chaotic cooking cover maintains its vibrant colors and crisp lines. Image area of 9.25" x 14.75". Adhesive tape in the top margin. Adhesive tape residue in the lower margin. Slight marginal abrasion. In Excellent condition.
